Anna Soole is Red River Métis and currently located on unceded Coast Salish homelands.

 

For the past two decades, Anna has worked locally and internationally as an educator, consultant, coach, artist, and healer, supporting groups and individuals to develop their communication skills, emotional literacy, and self-awareness, to transform their group dynamics, and to understand the role of power (in its many forms) in their communities and in the world at large.

 

Anna's approach is trauma informed, heart-and-healing-centred, direct, open, honest, compassionate, centred in truth telling, and often pretty silly and fun too. 

 

Their work is deeply rooted in an intersectional approach to facilitation and popular education, with a focus on harm reduction, community healing, and group work.

In their work as an Indigenous educator and coach, Anna supports people and groups of all ages and social locations to understand Power in three main ways:

 

  • Cultivating personal power, healing from trauma, deepening a personal sense of agency and worthiness, and learning effective skills to communicate about needs and boundaries with integrity.

 

  • Understanding systems of power, and learning actions to disrupt, dismantle, and decolonize oppressive systems.

 

  • And building and rebuilding the healing power of community, consent and nurturance culture, equity, Indigenization, and transformative justice and communication.

I currently reside on the unceded and illegally occupied ancestral homelands of the of the 

xʷməθkʷəy̓əm  (Musqueam),  sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō, and Tsleil-Waututh  Nations,

colonially known as vancouver, bc, canada. I recognize the rightful sovereignty and land

rights of these, and all Indigenous Nations across Turtle Island and around the globe.
